Just before 2:00 am on July 7th, Pennington Fire Company and other Hopewell stations were dispatched to reports of a house fire in the 100 block of Woosamonsa Road. Upon arrival, firefighters were met with flames in the rear and smoke throughout the 1.5 story structure. The second alarm was struck soon after arrival and additionally a tanker task force was assigned to the incident. The fire was brought under control around 3:30 am. No injuries were sustained by either the residents or any responding emergency personnel. The Pennington Fire Company would like to thank the following stations for their assistance at this early morning fire: Hopewell Fire Department, Union Fire Company, Lawrenceville Fire Company, Montgomery Fire Company #1, Montgomery Fire Company #2, Prospect Heights Fire Department, Pennington Road Fire Company, West Trenton Fire Company, Lambertville Fire Company, Plainsboro Fire Company, Upper Makefield Fire Company, Griggstown Fire Company, Hillsborough Vol Fire Company #1, Pennington First Aid Squad, and Hopewell Valley Emergency Services.

On April 3rd, 2017, Pennington Fire Company was delivered a new Spartan 100 foot rear mount ladder truck manufactured by Campbell Supply. It will replace a similar 100 foot ladder truck that was purchased in the early 1990’s. The addition to our fleet comes equipped with the latest firefighting technology available so that our members can continue to protect the growing Hopewell Township area.
